Aasha Byers is a Contemporary Artist born and raised in Houston, TX. Throughout her adolescent years she’s won several art competitions. This inspired her to pursue a career in art. She’s a Benedict College alumna with a B.A. in Studio Art, and an A.S. degree in Graphic Design.

Ms. Byers creates fashion illustrations, drawings, and paintings that depict African American culture.

 

"I begin a piece by visualizing a person, place, and a theme.

I specialize in creating drawings that depict African American culture. I focus on creating paintings that shows different kinds of facial expressions, fashion, and mixed media art.

I have a stylized technique that’s shown in every piece of artwork I create. When visitors view my art, I’d like them to be able to engage one another….and be able to relate to the work."
